BAR EXAM STUDENT'S TESTIMONIALS
Here are what my Clients say, that have passed the California bar.

*SOME OF THE NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED to PROTECT THEIR CONFIDENTIALITY.

LEONARD GOT ME THROUGH THE BAR…I Was a 3X Taker

Leonard Ludovico was essential to helping me pass the California Bar Exam. I was overwhelmed with the studying process and the amount of material to learn for the exam. Even with other so-called “personalized” tutoring programs, I was unable to study properly and pass the exam. Thus, with each subsequent try I became more stressed and weighed down by the prospect of taking and passing the test.

My stress manifested in anxiety, tooth-grinding, racing thoughts, and even vomiting. I also had the desire to perfectly understand and memorize all the material, which kept me from moving on from one subject for days or weeks at a time. Additionally, I was really used to studying, learning, and writing in my own way where I would listen to what was taught to me and then reinterpret how to do it in a way I thought was more efficient or more comfortable. I reinterpreted what teachers told me, what lecturers taught, and what my tutor would ask me to do. I would often answer a question with a question as a way of getting more information out of the person I was talking to before I had to give a concrete answer. I thought I was just getting more information in order to give a better-informed answer but it was something else.

I began working with Leonard before I took the CA Bar Exam for the third time. The first time we spoke he pinpointed that my main block was trying to study for and take the exam “my own way”. Through a thoughtful discussion he helped me admit that I was doing it “my own way” subconsciously, despite my conscious desire to give the CA Bar Exam graders what they wanted. I also consciously realized doing it “my own way” was actually inefficient and incorrect in the eyes of the graders.

After I was aware of what I was doing I had to find out why I was doing it so I could change my behavior. Some people are willing to change their behavior if they just recognize it is wrong, but I needed to know my motivation for the behavior in order to change it. In just one hypnotherapy session with Leonard, I was able to pinpoint the cause of my controlling behavior – some events and feelings stemming from childhood – and once recognized, I was able to change it when it came up in studying, or in regular life. The hypnotherapy session was very comfortable, I was just relaxed and talking with him, I remembered everything we discussed afterward and we did not discuss anything but the “my own way” issue we were addressing.

After learning to give up “my own way” I learned to study and write the way my tutor and the CA Bar Exam graders wanted me to. My concentration on studying vastly improved, I was able to answer questions directly. My writing improved and I began getting above passing scores on the practice exams. I was able to listen to the question asked and respond without interpreting what I thought needed to be addressed. Basically, I was able to get out of my own way and really give what was asked of me.

Finally, as the bar exam neared, I had two shorter relaxation sessions with Leonard where he gave me some points to focus on and think about when I felt myself getting stressed as well as a mantra to read to myself before bed to relax me and help me sleep. And it worked! I was able to sleep well the week leading up to and through the bar exam and I did not vomit at all before, during, or after the exam. And I passed!

Again, without Leonard, I would not have been able to pass the CA Bar Exam. I learned that sometimes there are things that keep you from your goals that you don’t even know are obstacles. For me, I had the best tutor and study material but I couldn’t use them properly because of a personal behavior that was ingrained in my personality. With Leonard’s help I was able to recognize and adjust that behavior as I needed to when it was preventing me from reaching my goals. Believe me, I still prefer to do things “my way” but I learned that that preference isn’t the only way to get things done.

Jeff Silverman-Attorney at Law: "At first, I was skeptical and resistant about Leonard’s approach. But I knew I needed something to help me pass the bar. I didn’t want to take this Exam again! I truly needed you Leonard. Without your intervention, I would have continued to fight the bar examiners, not trust the exam, believe the bar was out to trick me, do it all my own way again. I had tried everything but it didn’t work so I went to see you and Shari BARWINNERS.com for the Private Tutorial Program. It was mind-blowing. You were so effective and precise in helping me realize the root cause of why I hadn’t passed. It was a struggle at first to accept what you were trying to show me, but I knew if I didn’t, I would fail again. You changed my life. My wife has noticed the difference; words cannot describe what you two have done for me. Thank you, gratefully, Jeff."

"I am so glad I found you (and BARWINNERS.com on the web! You understood me more than anybody else. You were warm and kind to me, yet you never let me get away with anything. I respect that about you guys. You knew I’d taken the bar 10 times with the most well known Test Review experts and tutors! I can't tell you how many other Bar Reviews I took, how many private tutorial sessions I took with other people, and not one of them caught what you, Leonard, spotted in the first 15 minutes! You even saw it in my handwriting. It amazed me. I had studied 10-12 hours a day and did everything my previous Courses recommended. I didn’t know what to do next. Your course and private tutorial was so different than anything else I had done. You saved me. You are tough, but supportive and caring too. You believed in me. You helped me get out of my own way. I am now free and can move on with my new post-Test-life! You believed in me. I now work for one of the top ten law firms in California. Saying thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it." "I often wonder how you uncovered so quickly what was going on with me. Nobody has seen or understood me as well as you did in a very short period of time. I felt an instant connection with you and comfortable right away. People always misunderstood me. For the first time in my life I felt you really listened and connected to me. I told you things I have never told anyone. I feel like I knew you and could trust you right away. My deepest gratitude to you both for the care you gave me during a very sensitive time in my life. The sessions were fast, efficient, and extremely beneficial in passing the Bar. I appreciated that you listened and then asked questions before you gave me any advice. I had no idea why I hadn’t passed until I met with you both. I learned and understood what I was doing. You gave me back what I was constantly taking away from myself. I took this wonderful feeling I got from you and Leonard right into the Test. I even surprised myself, but it was exactly what you said I would experience." Mollie Kardorissian, Attorney at Law:

Leonard Ludovico has the unique talent for having a deep insight into people. After just a few minutes of interaction with or observance of a person he can accurately describe their personalities, motivations, strengths and weaknesses. This ability to quickly and accurately perceive information about a stranger usually only known with regular familiarity comes from years of training and experience which Leonard uses effortlessly. Professionally, Leonard and I have worked together teaching, tutoring, and advising attorney candidates who are trying to pass the California Bar Exam. Leonard’s ability to pinpoint the weaknesses, strength, and motivations of these clients is vital to inform my choice of how to tailor my approach to giving or receiving information from them to get the results I desire. I have seen him identify defining characteristics of relative strangers with a regular accuracy and I trust him completely. As an attorney, I recommend Leonard’s services to anyone who needs an accurate insight and observation to intimate information for clients or from juries, witnesses, plaintiffs, and defendants.

I previously took the GRE and did very poorly (500 verbal, 680 quantitative both out of 800, and 4.5 out of 6 in writing). Although my vocabulary is pretty bad, this score was still very low for me and did not reflect my academic abilities, so I knew something went wrong when I took the exam. I decided to work with Leonard in the two months before retaking the GRE. Leonard Ludovico helped me learn that I was trying to make the test more difficult than it was because I like to learn from challenges. I had this notion that everything needed to be hard so I could learn by overcoming the challenge associated with it. Thus, I was pressuring myself to be perfect on the GRE, especially the math section because that is one of my strengths. In trying to make everything perfect, I made simple mistakes and spent too much time on each problem. In addition to pursuing perfection, I was also trying to analyze the test and manipulate it to work for me. I figured out that the first 15 questions count significantly more than the last 15 and concluded that if I did well on the first 15, I would do well. This was causing me problems because I was so fixated on not making a mistake in the beginning of the test, I would miss more questions under this unnecessary pressure. With Leonard, I figured out that I was trying to manipulate the system. I like to be in control and I feel very uncomfortable when I have to do something someone else's way. I did not like the GRE or it's computer adaptive testing method, so I tried to take the GRE my way instead of the test's way. This was hurting me because I would not give the test what it was asking for, which usually led me to the wrong answer. To overcome this, I had to learn how to just be myself and see the test for what it is: a test, nothing more than a series of questions. By doing so, I was able to overcome the desire for doing perfect. I also learned to take things for what they are and not make them harder than they are supposed to be. Some things in life are meant to be difficult and others are meant to be simple or fun. It is not my place to make the simple or fun things more difficult. This related to one of my life lessons of struggling to find balance. I tend to make most things in my life difficult and do them my way because I like being in control and learning from challenge. I work too much and don't play, it is all or nothing. Taking the GRE was a great lesson in doing something someone else's way and not making it more difficult than it needs to be. I answered each question and did not try to do better on some questions than others. I read each problem and gave them what they asked of me, no more and no less. By seeing the test as a collection of questions, I was able to relieve unnecessary pressure and perform at my natural ability. After working with leonard for 3 sessions and retaking the GRE, I got 570 in verbal, 750 in math, and 5 in writing. Not only was Leonard responsible for allowing me to improve my score, he also enabled me to make progress on my life lessons of perfection and finding balance. His expertise is unparalleled and his wisdom is unattainable anywhere else. You will make progress in every session as Leonard is able to guide you instantly to the root causes of your problems. His services are beyond recommended.

Hey Leonard,
I just wanted to drop you a line to say hello and let you know that, five years later, I continue to be grateful for everything you did for me.  I got an email this afternoon from a potential Barwinners.com student (and of course I told her that I would be happy to talk with her), and it just made me think of where I was prior to re-taking the bar, how you and Leonard helped me, how hard you made me work, and how every minute and cent I put into the course has been repaid to me ten-fold.

I don't quite know how you and Leonard do what you do, but you've figured it out.
Maria Sanchez, Esq.

Dear Leonard,

I wanted others to know about you and so here's my 'Yelp Review' so to speak.

I worked with Leonard Ludovico to pass the bar. Before my sessions with Leonard Ludovico, I was very anxious about many things. I felt that I was never good enough to achieve and I always had to be perfect. Law School really took away my self-confidence. I was use to be a straight-A student in college and then, when I went to law school, I was a B- student. My class ranking was "middle-of-the-class." I wanted to do things my way and not listen to anyone else. These feelings sabotaged me while taking tests. I was afraid to get answers wrong because of my need to always be perfect. I didn't want to answer the questions in the way the test was asking me. I did not perform to my full potential on the test and got practice scores much lower than what I was capable of achieving. I also had trouble with the essay part because I disliked writing. While working with Leonard, I discovered many things about myself. I wrote poorly on the bar exam, because I took the questions too personally and I was afraid to take a stand and step it up. I had been a great writer all along, but when I put myself in the way of my writing, my essays were not a reflection of my true abilities. Three of my bar exam essay scores were 55's and I got a 50 on PT A. After numerous sessions with Leonard, I changed a lot. I accepted my mistakes and didn't beat myself up for not being perfect. I learned that if I don't make mistakes, I can never learn from them and become a better person. I was able to do things other peoples' way because I did it in such a way where I felt I control. The journey was tough and sometimes very emotional, but the result was well worth it. I learned things about myself that I never knew were troubling me. Leonard did not teach me how to take the test or how to improve my scores. But rather, he helped me move past many of my problems so that I could take the test relaxed and carefree. Leonard helped me as a person and my scores reflected it. The last bar exam I took, was a breeze and I was very proud that I passed. Thank you very much.

Hey Leonard

I had taken the bar 3 times, and after failing by such a very small amount, decided that it was not going to happen for me. 5 years later I found Shari and Leonard Ludovico at Barwinners.com and their approach resonated with me  so much that I  jumped head first into studying once again for the exam. As soon as I realized what I had gotten myself into, I immediately began back peddling my way out, convincing myself that I did not have the time to dedicate to this again. What I remember specifically is Shari's words to me, "this course will change your life." She was right, because indeed it has.

Now, I realize what she meant by that comment when I started working with Leonard. Leonard helped me realize  that I was not failing the bar due to lack of knowledge or understanding of the bar material, but had repeatedly failed due to past struggles that unknowingly were preventing me from accomplishing my goals. Unfortunately, I have suffered from a lack of a proper father figure, and due to these extenuating circumstances growing up, led me to develop defeating patterns of behavior that not only extended in my personal life, but in my professional life as well. Leonard guided me to a healthy state of mind where I needed to be in order to have the best chance possible of passing. I felt like taking the bar was a breeze in comparison to my previous times taking it. 3 days flew by, in which I ate well, slept well and performed to the best of my ability. I will take this experience with me throughout my life, and am looking forward to working with Leonard further in the future.

Dear Leonard Ludovico,

First I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your true care and affection that you gave during a greatly sensitive time in my life. I appreciated that you listened first and asked more questions before you recommended your advice. Most of all I am grateful that you answered my questions one by one with patience and extreme efficiency. I genuinely felt blessed to have met you and gotten the opportunity to fully benefit from hypnotherapy.

I had no idea what my BAR Results were about to mean to me until I spoke with you and Shari and decided to have the hypnotherapy sessions to understand what was in fact preventing me form passing the Bar. The sessions have given me so much of what I was constantly taking away from myself. I would not have gained such vital knowledge about myself if it were not for you and Shari. You two are the best. The sessions are fast, efficient and extremely beneficial in life. I know this because not only was I a witness to your extreme talent and hard work, but also I am an example of the result of such life altering experience. I want to share my experience so that I can help those individuals who may relate and as a result, they can also know how to help themselves.

Through these sessions, I have learned so much about myself in the deepest way imaginable, yet in the shortest time unimaginable. One of the things most painful to me that I learned was that I did not pass the bar because I gave up. And all the emotions that I felt had nothing to do with the bar exam. The bar exam was just what triggered all of the emotions that were in my way of moving forward in my life.

You have given me my life back in a way that I had missed and almost forgotten. You made me see the light and gave me courage and strength. And most of all you helped me see that all that was already within me. I am now so much more aware than before. You made me wiser and helped me grow not just as a person, but also as an adult and a professional. I THANK YOU for that.

My favorite quote from you is when you said if you can’t see it you can’t hear it, and if you can hear it you can’t learn from it and if you can’t learn from it you can’t grow. Thank you for helping me to see it, hear it, learn it and grow from it!

My last formal step is to pass the bar exam and begin a new chapter in practicing law. You made this experience a truly learning experience and a positive one. I feel happier and healthier to face new challenges and chose to grow from them and eventually help others the same. I am excited to see where my path will lead me as I move forward in my life to finding my own gift.

Best,
Celeste Martin

I just wanted to take out time and thank you all for the wonderful tutorial session I had yesterday. It is amazing how one's character and well being, can affect or reflect even in answering questions on an exam. The diagnosis of Leonard Ludovico was so amazing and true to the last letter. At some point I must say I felt like I was sitting with a prophet.
How fast he was able to detect all my problems only God knows and will bless you for it. Shari's warmness and pure heart also kept me very comfortable. A rare quality that most women lackI now know I am in good hands at BARWINNERS and with people of great minds  around me, the sky is not my limit, because I can go beyond.I look forward to my next tutorial meeting with you all next week. Until then, just like Joseph said " Maintain the ability to follow instructions."  I will do all what you all have guided and told me.
Thank you.

I was freaked out about my GRE. I took it the first time, using a standard test prep program. I scored a 520 in Verbal Reasoning, a 680 in Quantitative Reasoning and in Analytical Writing, a 4.5. Not good enough to get into any of the graduate schools I wanted. My mom pushed me into getting a tutor. Every tutor I had, just told me to study more, study harder. I studied more and nothing changed until I met Leonard Ludovico. I had one session with Leonard and he quickly found what was getting in my way of scoring higher. He understood me in the FIRST FIVE MINUTES. I couldn't believe it. I guess that's why they call him the test-taking specialists! He was remarkable. I'm not sure how he was able to do what he did. He has a natural gift that cannot be taught. I just took my GRE's and here are my post-Leonard scores: 740 Verbal Reasoning, 790 Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing, 5.5!

Leonard you rock!

Shari Karney, Esq., Leonard Ludovico, and Successful BARWINNERS' Student Alex Shore

Dear Leonard,

I don't have enough nice things to say about my experience with Leonard Ludovico while studying for the California bar.  Our initial meeting was a bit jarring at first.  He was no holds barred--brutally honest with me.  Even at the first meeting, he knew me better than I knew myself (at 28 years old).  He let me know up front that in order to succeed under his guidance and direction, I was going to have to put down my guard and trust him.  There were times when I was so stressed and at a breaking point.  Leonard Ludovico was able to calm me down completely through hypnosis and bring me back to Balance. It was incredible.  With his guidance, I was able to stay calm and focussed throughout the bar exam.  Without him, I would not be the attorney I am today.  Thank you Leonard Ludovico for your wonderful insight and guidance into my person in potential success.  Both you and Shari Karney at barwinners.com were the answer to my prayers. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Matt Bernson Attorney-At-Law
